Chakra Workshop in Business Bay: What an After-Work Session Covers
Dr S Pujah · 27 October 2026

A chakra workshop for Business Bay professionals is a short, guided session that helps you notice where tension sits in the body, learn the seven chakras and their petals in plain language, and leave with a 10-minute evening reset you can repeat at home. I run these in Dubai and online, so it fits a tower-to-tower working day.
Many people I meet in Business Bay live and work within a few hundred metres of each other: an apartment in one tower, a desk in the next, a gym on the podium level. It is efficient, but it also means the day never really ends. The laptop is always nearby, the lift ride home is two minutes, and the mind is still in the 6 pm meeting at 10 pm. That is exactly why an after-work format works so well here.
Why an after-work chakra workshop suits Business Bay
Business Bay has its own rhythm. Office hours often stretch into the evening because teams speak to Europe in the afternoon and to the US after dark. Traffic on Al Khail Road and around the Canal can make a quick trip across the city a 40-minute crawl, so people want something close, short and calm rather than a full day away.
A good workshop for this crowd is:
- Short: 60 to 90 minutes, so it fits between the last call and dinner.
- Practical: every idea comes with a breath, a posture or a small home ritual.
- Quiet: no loud music, no performance, just space to switch off the day.
What we actually cover in the session
I keep the structure simple so beginners and returning students both feel at home.
- Arrival and breath (10 minutes). Slow nasal breathing, shoulders down, eyes off screens. Most people notice how shallow their breathing has been all day.
- The seven chakras in plain words (20 minutes). Root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown, with the traditional number of petals for each, from four at the root to the thousand-petalled crown. We talk about what each centre is linked with in the yogic tradition: grounding, flow, will, connection, expression, insight and stillness.
- Body scan (15 minutes). A guided scan so you can notice, without judging, where you hold the day: jaw, chest, stomach, lower back.
- One chakra, one practice (15 minutes). We choose the centre most people in the room relate to that evening. For desk-heavy teams it is often the throat (all those calls) or the solar plexus (deadlines).
- Your 10-minute home reset (10 minutes). You leave with a written sequence you can do in your apartment before bed.
This is a reflective and educational practice. It is not medical care and it does not replace a doctor, a therapist or any treatment you need.
Bringing the practice home to a Business Bay apartment
Apartments in Business Bay are often compact, glass-heavy and air-conditioned all year. That shapes the home practice:
- Light: floor-to-ceiling windows bring city lights in at night. Draw the curtains or sit facing a wall for the reset so the eyes can rest.
- Air: with AC running most of the year, the air can feel dry. A glass of water before you begin and a short pause at an open balcony door in the cooler months (roughly November to March) helps the breath settle.
- Space: you only need the floor space of a yoga mat. A corner of the bedroom, away from the desk, works best so the body learns that this spot means rest, not work.
- Sound: towers carry sound from lifts and corridors. Soft earplugs or a quiet hum (the bee breath) can make the five minutes of stillness feel complete.
Who joins, and how to choose in person or online
People who come to these sessions are usually professionals who already exercise but still feel wired at night, founders who rarely stop thinking about the business, and couples who want a shared evening ritual. If you live in Business Bay and work nearby, an in-person session in Dubai is lovely because you can be home within minutes. If your evenings are unpredictable, the online format lets you join from your own living room with the same structure.
If you would like to read before you attend, my chakra books go deeper into each centre and its petals, and the self-assessments on spujah.com can help you notice which centre to start with.
Before you book: three small steps
- Eat lightly an hour before, so the body is not busy digesting.
- Wear loose clothes; office trousers and a tight collar make breathing work harder.
- Switch the phone to do-not-disturb for the session. That alone is a gift most of us rarely give ourselves.
You are also welcome in the free Clarity Key Community, where members share simple practices between sessions.
